Hi!

I have had my Omen 16 laptop for quite some time and have had problems with it randomly shutting down in games that it fully meets the recommended requirements for, but only very rarely, so i never really fussed over it.

 

Recently I have started playing Baldur's Gate 3 and my pc still meets the requirements for this game but has been repeatedly shutting itself off while playing on high graphics, which it is supposed to manage, and has shut itself down at total of 6 times in one day which is very frustrating when trying to play a game. Muliple self shutdowns can range from 1-6 in a day and it worries me cause i feel it must be damaging the computer.

 

My laptop doesn't even get too hot when it shuts down either. I recently updated my drivers thinking that they could be the problem but it just keeps getting worse everyday and I'm not very good with the technical side of computers so hoping for some support from people who know these kind of things!! 

 

If its at all useful the other games I have played and never had shut down issues with really are, Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077, Horizon Zero Dawn, Starfield, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora etc and all these games have been played on high/ultra graphics too with very minimal problems.
