Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

i don't know why but my Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000 (2V8Z4AV)

just started to use the CPU usage more than before it's like using 40-50% more than it was using before in any process or in any command .I even tried reinstalling Windows 11 with HP CLOUT RECOVERY TOOL with a all clear option but still,

because of that my normal average temperature always stays above 80C to 90C while standby and even 100 while working or playing.

and then because of that it automatically starts the Fans and drains battery like a monster..

Please help me...

but all of that was not a problem on windows 10

and now I cant downgrade to w10 because there is no option of windows 10 in HP CLOUD RECOVERY TOOL

NOTE -- ignore my **bleep** grammar

Hi@PHOENIX16,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the Victus By HP 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop PC automatically starts the Fans and drains battery.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • For Testing and Calibrating the Battery please click this link

Try changing the power mode to "Balanced" or "Better Performance" as the default setting.

Go to "Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options" > "Change plan settings" > "Change advanced power settings"
Scroll down, click on "Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Setting" > "Config TDP Level",
Then select the middle value for both "On Battery" and "Plugged In".
Scroll further down. Select "Processor power management";
Then select "Maximum processor state";
Change the value from 100% to 96% for both "On Battery" and "Plugged In" options.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

If the issue still persists then it could be a hardware issue on the PC. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out.
