Hi @zain143,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for contacting us. We understand how concerning it is when your Victus by HP 15-fa1000 gaming laptop suddenly shuts down during normal use, leaving only a blinking power light. Let’s guide you through carefully tailored steps to identify and resolve the issue.
1. Perform a Hard Reset (Power Drain)
This clears residual electrical charge and can often bring the laptop back to life.
- Unplug the AC adapter
- Hold down the power button for a full 30 seconds
- Release, then connect the power adapter (leave battery connected if internal)
- Press Power once and observe
2. Check the Power Adapter & Charging
- Ensure the charging light (if available) comes on when plugged in.
- Try another working wall outlet.
- If possible, test with a different HP-compatible charger.
3. Reset RTC (Real-Time Clock)
HP laptops often support a hardware RTC reset that can resolve deep firmware issues.
Here’s how:
- Turn off the laptop
- Press and hold Win + V, then press and hold Power
- Keep holding both for 10–15 seconds, then release
- If successful, you might see an HP BIOS reset screen or the system restarting
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
