Cheers everybody. I am having an issue with MyHP. It was working OK, but now, when I click the program icon, it opens but keeps trying to resolve and never finishes. I don't enter the program, and neither can have access to my account and product specs. Any tips? My system is Windows11 Home 24H2. Thank you.

Hi @BetoLenda,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for the clear details — and cheers to you too! Since you’re on an OMEN by HP 16-xf0000 running Windows 11 Home 24H2, let’s get you sorted out with MyHP not launching properly. This can happen after updates or network hiccups.

Let's try the steps below and let me know if this helps.

1️. Reset the MyHP App

Windows has a built-in way to reset app data without removing it completely:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
  2. Find MyHP
  3. Click the three dots next to it → Advanced options
  4. Scroll down and click Reset

Then, try launching it again.

2️. Uninstall and Reinstall MyHP

If the reset doesn’t work:

  1. Uninstall MyHP:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    • Find MyHP
    • Click Uninstall
  2. Reinstall it from the Microsoft Store:
    • Open Microsoft Store
    • Search for MyHP by HP Inc.
    • Download and install the latest version

Then reboot and test it again.

3️. Check Windows App Permissions

Sometimes app permissions get tangled after an OS update:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & security > App permissions
  2. Check permissions for Location, Camera, Microphone, Background apps
  3. Make sure MyHP is allowed where needed (especially Background Apps)

4️. Run Windows App Troubleshooter

Windows 11 has a troubleshooter for app problems:

  1. Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters
  2. Scroll down to Windows Store Apps
  3. Run it and follow the instructions

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you, Vikram. I tried both resets, but nothing bettered! Then I ran the permissions, and I think the tip of the issue was there. I granted permissions for the camera and mic. It opened, initial contract accepted, and everything is fine now. One thing I noticed though, and before I tried the uninstall thing, is that I couldn't find MyHp in the Store. Thank God, I did not dust it off. I tried to apply the same to OMEN Gaming Hub but couldn't find it in installed apps. I think the OMEN AI Beta is the issue here. When it announces itself in the Home screen of Gaming Hub, it freezes the app. If I don't let it come around, clicking repeatedly on the My OMEN, for example, I can access other areas of the app, except Home, always. Is there a way to uninstall it from Gaming Hub?

Hi @BetoLenda,

Glad to hear your mic and camera permissions fix got Myhp working again. You're right — OMEN AI Beta integrates directly into OMEN Gaming Hub and isn't a standalone app that can be uninstalled separately via the regular Apps & Features list. It’s baked into the Gaming Hub as a feature module,

1. Disable OMEN AI Beta (if possible)

  • Open OMEN Gaming Hub (quickly head to another tab if the Home screen starts to freeze).
  • Go to Settings (gear icon at the bottom left or from the side menu).
  • Look for a section called Beta Features, Early Access, or AI Settings.
  • If OMEN AI Beta is listed there, disable or opt out.

2. Reinstall/Reset OMEN Gaming Hub

Since OMEN AI Beta is part of the Gaming Hub, doing a clean reinstall might reset its behaviour:

  • Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub via Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Reinstall the latest version directly from the Microsoft Store.

This should give you the most stable, non-glitchy version.

3. Check for Updates

After reinstalling:

  • Open OMEN Gaming Hub.
  • Head to Settings > About and check for updates within the app.
  • Update your HP System Event Utility and OMEN SDK Package through the HP Support Assistant (they control background services like AI Beta).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you again. After some updating, resetting, repairing, and restarting, now it works OK. And I didn't need to uninstall anything, which was what I was trying to avoid. Stay safe.

Hi @BetoLenda,

That’s awesome to hear — I’m really glad it’s working smoothly for you now! Great call sticking with updates and resets rather than uninstalling things outright — sometimes patience and methodical steps pay off. Thanks for the follow-up too — always good to hear a success story.

If anything else crops up down the road, or if you just need a second pair of eyes on something tech-related, you know where to find me. Stay safe and enjoy your OMEN setup!
