Hello,
I have an HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 16-a0025nr and I need to install an SSD drive on it. right now I have a 256 GB SSD drive. and I want to install an additional 1Tb SSD drive but I don't want to remove this one. can someone guide me to it? do I have an additional slot for an SSD? or I can only remove this one (256) and install a new one on the same spot? The product number is 1X7T5UA. if need additional details then let me know.
Thanks and Best

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
According to chapter 1 of the manual, there is only one slot for a M.2 SSD, so if you want more storage, you would have to remove the existing 256 GB NVMe SSD and replace it with one having a larger storage capacity.
You can open up the notebook and check to see if your notebook has the additional parts required to add a 2.5" SATA SSD.
Normally the parts are not included unless the notebook originally came with a 2.5" drive from the factory.
The parts to add a 2.5" drive are usually difficult if not impossible to find.
You can find the list of parts required to add a 2.5" drive in chapter 3 on page 16.
