I want to put another 8GB RAM in my HP Omen 15-dc1093tx. It already have a Samsung M471A1K43CB1-CTD PC4-2666V-SA1-11 (2666MHz) ram. I am not able to locate a reliable dealer which can give me RAM with exact same specs and of "samsung make". I want to know if the machine will support another "ADATA" ram with same specs?

OK, look for another 8GB stick that has timings for DDR4 19-19-19-43
😉

Hello @srvkmr
As long as the timings match, the brand does not have to be the same. Its helpful if you could find the exact same model number, but usually it doesn't matter. You want the timings to match so it will run in dual channel.

I don't know what you're looking at so I cannot comment.
Did you use a tool like CPUz and get the exact timings of the existing ram?
Then find another stick with those same timings as your Samsung stick has.
You can go to a site like NewEgg.com and they usually post the full timings of their memory sticks for you to compare with.

I just used CPU-Z to see the data.
Here Is a photo of the RAM installed in my machine.
As you can see it is mentioned on RAM PC4-2666v. whereas RAM from Adata as I saw on Amazon says "PC4-21300"

omen usually use the Kingston ram cards thats what I have in mine. I have the 2400 two 8 gb but I use crucial 32gb's ram cards but they are the same, but as long as they have the same specs I don't see why it wouldn't work, but if your asking will your omen take other brands they will. crucial has an easy thing where it'll read your machine an tell you what it'll use an the max it will handle. hope that helps
