OMEN 17.3 inch Gaming Laptop PC 17-ck0000 (2Y4A9AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have no option to enable G Sync on my Omen 17 (17.3” screen, 2560x1440/165Hz screen) with RTX 3070. This is resulting in issues when playing some games.

@Arataki,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

I invite anyone to correct me, but my understanding regarding your laptop is that a G-Sync module is not needed since the GPU interfaces directly with the display panel to control the refresh rate via eDP.

Some models of the HP Omen laptops such as the Omen Laptop 17t-ck000 do support G-Sync.  See here, for example: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/omen-17t-ck000-laptop-2y4b1av-1#:~:text=Thanks%20for%20your%20ques....

However, if the G-Sync setting is not available in your Nvidia Control Panel, your model DOES NOT support G-Sync.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

I also have a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro. It has gsync as an option in the nvidia control panel when using the laptop screen.

In comparison my Omen 17 does not have this option therefore appears not to support gsync on the laptop screen. I believe the lack of gsync to be a very big missing feature for a ‘gaming laptop’.
