I posted a request for a part number for the Fan1 Header socket and after about 100 views no one helped or responded. I thought HP would take ownership and repair this problem the HP Service center in Grapevine Texas caused but after contacting Mr. Lores executive office they provided no support. I did find a Great Computer  store in Orlando that soldered  another Header and I salvaged the Gaming Laptop my Grand Son was liking. It cost me $100 but I will be able to pass this on to him soon as I have Stage 4 Colon Cancer- Thanks HP for all your support. I thought you were better than this!. Oh well as it is what it Is !!.

@SteveTReutersr,

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!

Reason why you didn't get a response from our peer-to-peer Community, is that certain HP part numbers, such as for a Fan1Header socket, are not searchable/available to us. And btw, we do not speak for or are paid by HP.

You did the right thing: taking it to a computer store with the skills and knowhow to fix your motherboard.

Wishing you well and Smooth Sailing,

Thank you NonSequitur777 for your response.
     I thought that part numbers availability like the the Motherboard Headers probably are not available due to the inexpensive cost, the technical ability to replace, an HP wanting customer to only considering replacing the entire Motherboard or wanting to bill for a total replacement.
     I retired from Motorola which performed component level repairs in the 1980s-1990s and have skilled Techs at that time.
 It’s pretty bad when a HP Company owned Service Center in Grapevine Texas would cause such terminal damage to a component and also indicated liquid damage when if fact that was non existent when returned. I guess if they could not bill me for the non damage of the unit sent, some one deceided to cut off the socket.
     When I sent gaming computer in it had only needed a keyboard but the Company needed the revenue of more repairs and not honoring the factory warranty due to a purchase from a non authorized dealer. I was a lucky one to be able to repair their damage caused and went on to replace the Keyboard for $49 part from Amazon. So instead of paying them $700 to HP Grapevine Texas Repair Center, I repaired it all for $149. They did offer a 90 warranty but still would not  cap the repair cost. None the less there will be No More HP computers in our Household ever.

       Respectfully, Steve Reuter Orlando, Florida
