Pavilion 15-dk0007ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey guys,

i just completely reinstalled my Windows 10, after that i used avast driver updater to update all drivers at once, at that point, the speakers were working just fine. After going home from work, they just stopped working. I tried everything that was on the HP Sites, reinstalled the driver, rebooted many times installed other drivers. Theres nothing left to do, unless one of you smart freaks has another idea. I'm glad to hear from you.

Best Regards

Schnjetzel

Hi:

Your PC should be supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility...

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool (Windows 10, 7) | HP® Customer Support

If for some reason the cloud recovery tool doesn't work, go back, clean install W10 and use the HP drivers and software from your notebook's support page.

HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk0000 Laptop PC Software- und Treiber-Downloads | HP® Kundensupport

Sometimes those 3rd party driver update programs don't work very well.

Hello Paul,

thank you for your quick answer. I'd love to avoid setting up the whole System again.

Can you recommend any other solution?

Greetings

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions other than what you have already tried.

That is why I believe resetting the PC would be your only option at this point.

I assume that you have already tried the audio driver from your notebook's support page, correct?

Yes i did, but there is something i didnt try yet.

We have Elite-Books at work and ive seen the Bang & Olufsen Audio Tray Icon.

Since the Pavilion also has Bang & Olufsen i'll try to get that Client.

If it works imma gonna let you know.

Sounds like a good plan.

So I've tried the B&O Audio Driver but it still didn't work. The only thing that worked for me is to actually Restore Windows through Windows 10 Settings. Thank you anyway 🙂 I will never use Avast Driver Updater again...

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.
