I bought a HyperX omen 15 with AMD ryzen7 260 and RTX 5050 configuration recently, but im not getting the optimal performance in games and also there are Missing performance profile in the omen gaming hub.

In valorant, the on High settings i should be getting over 300 fps but the machinery is struggling to give even 200 fps at low settings. Same issue with CS2 and when i downloaded Hogwarts's Legacy it was even strugling to give stable 60 fps (with frame gen turned on).

Also in the omen gaming Hub, there are missing performance profiles,  only balanced mode and eco mode are visible there is no option to go to the performance mode or the advertised Unleashed mode.

I have been contacting the HP support for last 10 days, but they are asking the same questions over and over again, and telling me the most obvious things such as connect to charger while playing turn high performance in the settings, like i dont know these things. no help at all.

If some one here knows a solution please do tell me, i will truly appreciate your help.

Hi,

I understand the frustration, but I would not judge this only by the game FPS number until the power profile and GPU power limit are confirmed.

The missing Performance / Unleashed mode in OMEN Gaming Hub is the bigger clue. OMEN Gaming Hub features can vary by system, BIOS, firmware, and supported configuration. Not every OMEN/Victus configuration exposes the same performance profiles.

HP OMEN Gaming Hub reference:
https://support.hp.com/nl-nl/document/ish_4360571-4105810-16

HP document mentioning Unleashed Mode testing:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_12164944-12172141-16

Please check the following:

  1. Confirm the exact product number, not only the marketing name.
Press Fn + Esc and share the Product Number.
  2. Confirm the AC adapter wattage.
If the laptop is using a lower-wattage adapter than expected, the GPU/CPU power budget may be limited and higher performance modes may not appear.
  3. Update from HP, not only Windows Update:
    • BIOS
    • AMD chipset driver
    • NVIDIA graphics driver
    • OMEN Gaming Hub
    • OMEN Gaming Hub SDK / HP System Event Utility, if listed for the model

HP drivers page:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops

  1. Reset OMEN Gaming Hub:
Settings > Apps > OMEN Gaming Hub > Advanced options > Repair / Reset
  2. Open NVIDIA Control Panel and confirm the games are using the RTX GPU, not the integrated GPU.
  3. Check the actual GPU wattage while gaming using NVIDIA overlay, HWInfo, or another monitoring tool. FPS alone is not enough. If the RTX GPU is running at a low wattage, the issue is power/profile related.
  4. Test while connected to AC power, battery above 50%, Windows power mode set to Best Performance, and no Eco mode enabled in OMEN Gaming Hub.
  5. If the laptop has MUX / Hybrid Graphics / Graphics Switcher settings in OMEN Gaming Hub or BIOS, test the discrete GPU mode.

If Performance or Unleashed mode is advertised for this exact model but does not appear after BIOS, OMEN Gaming Hub, SDK, and firmware updates, then this should be escalated to HP as a configuration/firmware/OMEN Gaming Hub issue, not just a game settings issue.

Please share the exact product number, BIOS version, charger wattage, NVIDIA driver version, and a screenshot of the OMEN Gaming Hub Performance Control page.

Hi Akshat_1206,

Welcome to the HP Community! I am a new volunteer here participating in the HP Solve-a-thon, and I can completely understand why you are frustrated. When you invest in a top-tier HyperX OMEN 15 with an RTX 5050 and a Ryzen 7 260, you expect it to crush esports titles like Valorant and CS2 without breaking a sweat.

Haytham has already provided a fantastic, comprehensive list of the hardware and power basics to check. Since you've already been going around in circles with official support regarding chargers and basic Windows settings, I want to give you two advanced, Windows 11-specific solutions that are notorious for simultaneously tanking frame rates and breaking the OMEN Gaming Hub.

1. Disable Windows 11 Memory Integrity (VBS)

Windows 11 ships with a virtualization security feature called Core Isolation. While great for enterprise security, it heavily restricts kernel-level access. This not only artificially throttles gaming performance (especially in highly competitive, CPU-bound games like Valorant), but it can actively block the OMEN Gaming Hub from communicating with your motherboard to unlock the higher-wattage "Performance" and "Unleashed" power profiles.

  • Click the Windows Start button, type Core Isolation, and press Enter.

  • Toggle Memory Integrity to the OFF position.

  • Restart your PC. (You may immediately notice a massive FPS jump and smoother 1% lows after this).

2. Rebuild the OMEN SDK Bridge

The OMEN Gaming Hub you see on your screen is just a visual app; the actual engine that tells the hardware to switch power profiles is a hidden background service called the OMEN Gaming Hub SDK. If a recent Windows Update corrupted the SDK, the app panics and defaults to only showing "Balanced" and "Eco" to protect the system.

  • Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.

  • Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub AND the OMEN Gaming Hub SDK Package.

  • Restart your PC.

  • Re-download the OMEN Gaming Hub directly from the Microsoft Store. Upon the first launch, it will force a clean download of the latest SDK background services directly from HP's servers.

Run through these two steps, make sure you are plugged directly into the wall (no power strips), and let us know if those power profiles reappear and your frames stabilize!

Hi Haytham,

Thank you for the detailed breakdown. I completely agree with your assessment that this is likely a firmware, configuration, or OMEN Gaming Hub issue rather than a standard game settings problem.

To answer your questions, I have already meticulously tried every single troubleshooting step listed in your solution, including checking the NVIDIA control panel, repairing the SDK/OMEN app, tracking live wattages, and adjusting Windows power configurations—and unfortunately, nothing has worked to unlock the performance modes.

Here are the exact system specifications and details you requested:

Product Number: D30WLPA#ACJ

BIOS Version: F.14 (Latest release date 06/22/2026)

AC Adapter / Charger Wattage: 150 Watts

NVIDIA Driver Version: 610.74 (Up to date via NVIDIA App)

Drivers & Software: Everything (AMD Chipset, OMEN Gaming Hub SDK, and HP System Event Utility) has been updated to the latest versions using the official HP drivers architecture.

Given that "Performance/Unleashed" modes are missing despite having all the latest software, firmware, and the correct 150W power supply attached, how should we proceed with escalating this to the internal HP engineering or firmware team to investigate a potential configuration block?

Please let me know what logs or additional details you need from my end to move this escalation forward
