Hi everyone,

I recently used the HP Cloud Recovery Tool to reset my Omen 15 laptop to its factory settings, but now I'm having trouble getting my Nvidia graphics card to be detected. I've tried installing the latest drivers from the Nvidia website, but I keep getting an error message saying that no compatible hardware was found.

I should also mention that the Nvidia graphics card doesn't appear in the Device Manager at all, so I can't even try updating the driver from there. It's as if the graphics card isn't even installed in my laptop.

I've also tried going into my BIOS settings to check if my graphics card is enabled, but I can't seem to access the BIOS settings due to the Omen setup utility.

I would really appreciate any help or suggestions on how to fix this issue. Is there anything else I can try to get my Nvidia graphics card to be detected? Has anyone else experienced a similar issue after using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool?

If your Nvidia graphics card is not being detected after using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, there could be a few potential causes for the issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

 

  • Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager and see if the graphics card is listed. If it is, try updating the driver and restarting the computer.
  • Check BIOS settings: Go into your computer's BIOS settings and ensure that the graphics card is enabled. If it is disabled, enable it and save the changes before exiting.
  • Check physical connections: Ensure that the graphics card is properly connected to the motherboard and that all power cables are connected.
  • Check for conflicts: Sometimes, other drivers or devices can conflict with the graphics card. Try disabling other devices in Device Manager to see if the graphics card becomes recognized.
  • Roll back the recovery: If the graphics card was working fine before the recovery tool was used, consider rolling back the recovery to the previous state.
