I need Help with my graphic card. on installation of my extended ram of 8 gb . My Graphics card suddenly went missing and my laptop started using default amd radeon 1 gb graphic card. Upon several investigation i was suggested that rtx 3050 graphic card does not have any voltage in it and i has a hardware issue. So they suggested me to go for IC repairing of graphic card but also suggested that it is very risky process. i want suggestion from you guys what should i do now

Hi @Frost1121,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're facing with your HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 after upgrading your RAM. I understand how frustrating it can be when your dedicated RTX 3050 graphics card is no longer being detected. Let's work together to explore possible solutions.
- When you installed the additional 8GB RAM, did you ensure it was fully compatible with your laptop's specifications (speed, type, voltage, etc.)?
- Have you checked the BIOS to see if the dedicated GPU is detected or if any settings have changed?
- Did you notice any unusual system behavior, such as overheating or performance drops, before the issue occurred?
Let's try these steps.
Check Device Manager:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Display Adapters and see if the RTX 3050 appears. If not, click "Scan for hardware changes."
- If it appears with an error code, note it and attempt to reinstall the driver.
Reinstall Graphics Drivers:
- Uninstall the current AMD and NVIDIA graphics drivers via Device Manager or using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) in Safe Mode.
- Download and install the latest drivers from the NVIDIA and AMD official websites.
BIOS Reset and Update:
- Enter BIOS by pressing F10 during startup and look for GPU-related settings.
- Reset BIOS to default settings and check if the GPU is detected.
- If not already updated, consider flashing the latest BIOS version from HP’s official support page.
RAM Reinstallation:
- Power off the laptop and remove the new RAM stick.
- Boot the system with the original RAM and check if the GPU returns.
- If successful, reinstall the RAM ensuring it's properly seated.
Power and Connection Check:
- Ensure the laptop's battery and power adapter are working correctly.
- A hardware power delivery issue might prevent the GPU from functioning; try testing with a different power adapter.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
