Hi,
I´ve been looking for upgrading my OMEN by HP Laptop PC - 15-ax033dx (ENERGY STAR), but I´m confused about the speed that I can use and also the rank (either1Rx8 or 2Rx8)
I got the info below from my laptop, I found 2 options on amazon:
8GB 1Rx8 PC4-2400T - sa1 -11
8GB 2RX8 pc4-2133P -seo -10
Could you help me on this?

Hi:
OK, so you know that HP installed dual ranked memory which means that you would want this chip of the two you posted.
HYNIX 8GB DDR4 2133MHZ PC4-17000 260-PIN1.2V SODIMM NOTEBOOK MEMORY HMA41GS6AFR8N-TF at Amazon.com
The clock speed...
The DDR4-2133 MHz, 2400 Mhz, etc is the dual channel speed.
The 1066 MHz is the single channel speed.
When you have two memory chips installed, you multiply the 1066 x 2 and you will end up with 2133 MHz and when you run the tool and you are on that summary window page, it will show you the 1066 MHz and the Mode the memory is running in.
With a single 8 GB chip, you will see 1066 MHz in Single Channel Mode.
With 2 x 8 GB you will see 1066 MHz in Dual Channel mode.
When you have two memory chips, you always have to multiply the speed by two.
Every tool like this one will report the same thing (half the advertised memory speed).
Hope that clears things up for you.

Hi:
Your notebook's processor can only run the memory at a max speed of 2133 MHz.
You can usually install single or dual ranked memory together, but I recommend you try and purchase the memory ranking that is currently installed.
Run the free utility that I zipped up and attached below and it should tell you what rank memory HP installed as well as other information.
