HP OMEN 15-DC0015NC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i recently purchased the HP Notebook Omen 15-DC0015NC, in the OMEN COMMAND CENTER under peformance command, there is only two options available.

1. Default

2. Comfort

but the performance command is missing,

Please confirm me if you removed the command  from the new updates or is it just for my system.

BIOS I have F.08

Command SDK package I have 1.0.18

OMEN CENTER I have 6.3.2.0

On my Omen DC0071TX machine, the version of OMEN Command Center is v 8.2.4.0 which has 3 buttons (from left to right): Comfort, Default and Performance.

My machine is 9 months old. I leave all updates as automatic. The version on your machine is 6.3.2.0, looks like it is a bit behind. My suggestion: install newer version on your machine (or uninstall and install newer version).

Regards.

Thank you for your help.
I updated the Omen command center (OCC) to version 8.2.4.0, but I still don't have three performance options.

I don't know what to do anymore ...

Is this notebook designed to support three modes??

Or I have to run some demanding game that I first discovered this mod?

Or do I have to uninstall the OCC, restart the laptop and install the OCC again?

Please help.

I'll write what I've done:
13.6.2019 - bought this notebook 🙂
13.6.2019 - update bios to F08 (I don't know the previous version) This didn't help, still only two modes in OCC
17.6.2019 - update SDK command center to 1.0.18. This didn't help.
18.6.2019 - OCC update from 6.3.2.0 to 8.2.4.0. This also did not help, still only two performance modes.

Thanks for any ideas.

I saw your PM. Looks like you turned off Performance (Nividia card) because GPU temperature = 0.. My machine with version 8.2.4.0

I'm not aware I would turn off performance (Nvidia card). It's like this since buying a laptop.

I found out, that, The GPU shows me 0 degrees because I use integrated graphics by default.

Only when I set the windows (gaming mode) setting that e.g. chrome browser to use dedicated Nvidia graphics, then in OCC the GPU shows the temperature when using chrome.

Is it possible to turn on a dedicated Nvidia graphics card permanently?

@Midaaa

That could be the reason.

I'm in contact with another expert here on the forum and we've tried these things together:

His question: If your system has a GTX 1050...

My answer: Yes, I have the omen 15-dc0015nc and it has Nvidia graphics GTX 1050 according to specifications.

His question: Did you turn off the Nvidia Card in the Nvidia Control Panel?

My answer: No, I never did. But I followed your recommendation and turned on Nvidia graphics permanently.

See picture:

Then:

I restarted my laptop, checked Nvidia's graphic that she is turned on and checked the OCC. OCC still shows only two modes :--(

Then I made a second attempt.

Nvidia graphics I left turned on and I reset OCC in windows setup.

See picture:

Then I started OCC as an administrator. But it did not help. OCC still shows only two modes :--(

Then I made a third attempt.

Nvidia graphics was still turned on. I uninstalled the OCC, restarted the laptop and reinstalled the OCC. I started OCC as an administrator.

But that didn't help either. OCC still shows only two modes :--(

I do not get it. Why does OCC not show three modes ...

Other forum users have the same problem, but they have not written how they solved it.

Do you have still any idea?

Or do I still need to install some package?

Thank you for help.

That is something I am not sure about or was aware of. I will put in a query to HP and see if I can find an answer.

It might be dependent on the type of graphics card installed? You have a 1050, Banhien has a 1070.

I dont know how long it will take to get an answer, but I will let you know if I find something out.

Thank you for your willingness.
With the graphics it's possible, but I hope not :--) I hope , that it can be fix.
One user had the same problem with Omen 15-DC0005NE, which has Nvidia graphics 1050Ti .
I'm wondering what would happen if I installed an older version of OCC that doesn't even have a comfort mode. Would I only see the default mod?
Where do I download a version less than 6.2.0.0?
Because since version 6.2.0.0. comfort mode is supported.
