OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi!
I have an OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx and I have problems with OMEN Command Center. I updated factory version on Microsoft Store and that's where my problems start.
I made a screenshot to make things clearer. Once I click on Update button (for those who don't speak Italian it's the "Aggiorna" button), OMEN Command center closes automatically.  I updated everything on my laptop using HP Support Assistant but nothing has changed. I hope someone can help me to fix this problem because I want to check CPU temperature and right now I really can't.
Thanks in advance!

Hello @Francesca5

When you say you updated the version from the MS Store, you mean you updated the Command Center, correct?

In other words, you didn't mean you reinstalled Windows from the MS ISO and are now trying to get the OCC to work.

If the Omen Command Center is giving you an Update button, it can be glitchy.

Uninstall the Command Center from the Add or Remove Programs menu in Windows.

Reboot, then reinstall it from the MS Store... Get HP Command Center - Microsoft Store

Now go to Windows Updates and force it to check for updates. Click on the Check for Updates button, even if it shows its already up to date. Do this a couple of times. If it shows updates are pending, install them, reboot and check for updates again.

This method usually fixes your issue.

If you meant you reinstalled Windows, there are some other things that need to be done.

Hi @Photoray002,
Yes, you get the point, I didn't reinstall Windows, I tried to update OCC from MS store. Firstly I uninstalled OCC by clicking on Windows button > OMEN Command Center > Right click > Uninstall (this is the only method that works because there's no OMEN Command Center in Add or Remove Programs menu), then I reinstalled OCC from MS Store but the problem was still there.
I followed your suggestions, there were a lot of pending updates in Windows Updates waiting for reboot and now OCC works.
Thanks for your help!
