OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0503na
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Omen 15 Gaming Laptop cannot detect any USB Drives to boot from. I restored BIOS Settings to default and I have changed the boot order. Back then my Laptop could detect USB Drives to boot from but after I formatted a USB to NTFS it suddenly cannot detect any more USB Drives to boot from after.

I am now stuck on the 3F0 Hard Disk screen where no Operating System Could Be Found. And have tried with many USB Drives.

Hi @OriginalOmenGuy,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

May I know if the OS came with the laptop?

In the meantime, please follow the steps:

Restore BIOS default settings:

  • Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  • Press the power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the f10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  • On the BIOS Setup screen, press f9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  • Press f10 to Save and Exit.
  • Use the arrow keys to select Yes, and then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  • Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Update the BIOS:

Reinstall Windows on the hard drive:

If no drives can be found when reinstalling Windows, see HP PCs - No drives can be found during Windows 11 or Windows 10 installation (Intel 11th Generation ....

After reinstalling Windows, run Windows Update to update all software, firmware, and drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

None of those options worked. I cannot use my laptop since there is no operating system detected and I am stuck  in the Hard Disk (3F0) error message.
