Hi - I bought an OMEN Laptop 17-cb1003na and it is great HOWEVER the CPU gets very hot - hitting 100 degrees when playing Battlefield V and benchmarking. This is not good and it appears that the only way to deal with this is to use an undervolt.
As this model is brand new (2080 super) there appears to be no way to undervolt (maybe a bios restriction) - I try in throttlestop and XTU and the results dont stick.
Apart from this issue I love the machine, I fear that if I dont get a solution then I will have to return the machine as those temps are way too high for my liking. I have tried on performance and default modes and deffo dont want to use 'max fan' as the noise would be unbearable (dont wish to use headphones all the time).
The machine is really fast with a 2080 super max - p inside and a 10th gen i7 CPU.
Any suggestions?
Kind Regards

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/ee-en/document/c06639166
It requires 330W PSU (charger) that means it runs at around 250W to 300W. Have you tried to touch to a normal 100W globe when it is ON?
Yes, HP Omen are running hot and one way to keep it cooler is to use a cooling pad. Please try
