Hello @ManuelMi88

Your Idle temps should be more like 30's to 40C.

Is this high temp from the start or does it take a while?

Ive had issues in the past with new PCs out of the box also and found it not unusual to have to do a system recovery back to factory, even though the system was already new.

Before you do that, open the Task Manager and see what processes might be running the CPU.

Ctrl/Alt/Del will access the Task Manager.

Click on the top of the CPU colum to select it and show the highest percentages first.

Let me know what you find.

Hi, thanks for your fast response.

Start temp is 60C +-

I checked the task manger:

Here the CPU temp was around 75C

Here CPU temp around 65C

I have not mentioned yet, but this is my second computer of the above model.
The first one stopped charging after 3 weeks and just turned off and died, tried to repair it in the laboratory they thought of replacing a motherboard. In the end they also burned the screen and sent me a whole new computer from the box from HP dealership.

And here the new computer is simply flaming for some unknown reason and now I need to waste my precious time again by formatting it and start installing my softwares again .

Truth I'm frustrated by the fact that I bought HP OMEN.

Sorry, I had to get it out.

Do you think I need system recovery back to factory?

Thanks for your support.

Manuel.

OK, you have a couple of Windows processes running on startup that are causing most of the issue. Nothing to do with HP.

The Antimalware Service Executable is Windows Defender probably running a full scan or such all the time. I just had this glitch affecting me yesterday and it ran my temps up to 60C instantly.

This worked for me...

Press Ctrl/Shift/Esc on your keyboard to open the Windows Task Manager.

In the list of processes, look for the Antimalware Service Executable process.
Right-click on it and select “Open File Location” to see the full path of the executable. You will see the file MsMpEng highlighted. Click on the address bar and copy the location of this file path.

It will probably be something like...

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Platform\4.14.17639.18041-0

Hold the Windows Key and press I, Choose Update and Security.

From the left pane, choose Windows Security > Virus & threat Protection.

Next, choose Virus & threat protection settings.

Scroll down and choose  Add or remove exclusions > Add an exclusion > File.

A window will open.  Paste the path to MsMpEng.exe in the address bar and hit Enter.

Then select the MsMpEng application file and click the Open button.

The exclusion is now added.

As far as the WMI Provider Host, its a Windows Management process of one kind or another.

How long does it stay running after startup?

You would have to do some homework and follow some steps to see if you can stop it.

You can End the task in task manager, but you would have to do that each time you reboot.

Here is one article explaining some options for troubleshooting that on a more permanent basis...

Let me know if this helps.

Also, I like to open the Task Manager > Startup tab and disable any unnecessary process that run on startup.

Most of them are not needed.

Hi and Thanks again for your great support!

I followed your suggestions, and has exclude the MsMpEng application.

The WMI process is runing for 5 minuts +- only when I reset the computer, then it 's back to 0.0% usege on Task Manger.

Moreover I set the Display setings to use only GPU (Nividia Card) and no CPU, becouse my  screen is 4K and I thing it may use alot of CPU resources. Am I right?

I disabled some programs from startup:

StartUp.PNG

Current Task manger status (no program is running only Google Chrome):

Task manager3.PNGe

Current CPU temp status:

TempCPU.PNG

We need to reduce more 15-20C from CPU

I would be happy to hear about additional directions for a solution.

Thanks again.

Holy Moly guy! Thats a lot of stuff in startup! Disable everything except the Security stuff (Comodo) and Delayed Launcher 2 for now.

There are over a dozen versions of that model number.

What is the full product number of that Omen?

You can find it in the HP Support Assistant.

Also, Did you install Comodo yourself? If so, was McAfee installed and did you uninstall it?

Hi and thanks again,

Disabled alot of programs from start up, as you suggest:

StartUp.PNGf

Its dosen't change too much, IDEL temp of my CPU is still around 55C (post restart)

Product name of the laptop is: 1ZL37EA#ABT

Product Name.PNGf

And yes I uninstall McAfee and install Comodo by myself..
