OMEN by HP Laptop 17-an0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My problem is my Laptop sometimes won't charge due to the connection between the Power in Connector and the power adapter. When plugged in normally at times it would not charge or needed to be reinserted at a different angle to work normally again. Last night when inserting the power adapter plug into Power in Connector it sparked and when I investigated the problem it looked like a piece of copper broke and had burn marks in it. The Power in Connector still works if the AC adapter plug is inserted at a certain position. The ac adapter is fine and has no damage to the physical eye. Listen I had an HP Pavilion DV7 from 2012 which had so many problems that almost every component had been replaced, heat melted a screw hole and plastic in the upper Left Hand Corner and burn the copper liner of my laptop due to the fan, and I had the Power in Connector replace like 3 times. I sent HP Pavilion DV7 back to HP multiple times so this not my first time to experience this problem. I would like someone with this similar problem to confirm that this is the problem so I can get this fix to prevent the issues that I had with the Pavilion DV7 or a fire.

Other Information:

*Power Adapter is the 230 W adapter

*Power in Connector's DC power Jack  part number is 926564-001

HP partsurfer data:

-N/A- 926564-001 GNRC DCIN JCK CA 12P 7.4mm 230W L220 ML Accessory/Tools N Compliant

*Battery and AC adapter (when plugged in right) Passed the UEFI Component Test

when plugged in wrong the Failure code is U8E5WC-8NM9GM-MFPURG-C1FK03

*No other problems everything is running fine.

*Out of warranty in july of 2018
