I just noticed when I turned my laptop on today that there's a square in the middle that's brighter than the rest of the screen... it's pretty unnoticeable on a white screen but when I turn it on and especially on a darker screen like Spotify it's very distracting. I tried to take a pic but it looks worse than this in real life

What is the model number of your Omen???

Go to the HP Support Assistant and find the Product Number and post it please.

Are you still under warranty?

 

If you change your desktop background image to solid black, perhaps this issue will be more noticeable in a photo.

Then post the image here via the little camera icon in this chat tool bar.
