Omen 15-ce019dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Omen 15-ce019dx is 2 years old and recently my battery stopped charging at 80 Percent then it came down to 30 and then finally to 0 and would turn off if not plugged in. I replaced the swole battery last week and was working fine until today. It won't charge beyond 50 percent I tried updating drivers but all are already up-to-date. I used hp support assistant battery test and it's showing ok and charging. But I noticed that the current is 150 mA which is too low. Also I left it plugged in for 1 hour to charge it to 51 percent.

So I am clueless of the problem, but have a suspicion on power adapter. Help me thanks.

I noticed some things, the battery charges at 150 mA at 50 percent, but at 2A at when below 25 percent, and gradually decrease at the battery percentage increases. So it might be a software bug where it stops charging at 50 percent.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery is not getting charged correctly.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

I updated the BIOS and it still didn't solve the problem.

I recommend you contact support to further diagnose the issue as it looks like an issue with the charging board.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!
