OMEN 15-dc0010nq

Hello, I just ordered OMEN 15-dc0010nq, it has only a 7200 rpm 1TB HDD and I think that I need to put also an SSD for windows.

What SSD shall I buy, there are any restrictions ? And what about the HDD, it is fast enough or a SSD is a must ?

Thx.

Hello @MrBogdan

IT will support both PCIe and Sata M.2 SSDs.

I would save my money and just go with Sata personally. More storage for the money and it will run so fast, you wont hardly see a difference between Sata and PCIe except on a benchmark.

If you use PCIe, know that it will only run at x2 speed and not x4 because some PCIe lanes are being used for Sata compatability.

Crucial and Samsung are good choices.
