Does your laptop battery charge only when the laptop is turned off? Click here to view the solution

oh now i have the cpu cache at -0.0801 but i cannot edit the cpu core

In order to undervolt, you have to click "unlock" first. Otherwise, the offset voltage won't be configurable.

Then again, change it to -80mV and save, don't forget to click on "apply voltages immediately".

I have it done, now it's all??

wow the temp is now lower when i do the ts bench 😄

Perfect.

Also, you can change the offset voltage even lower than -80mV if you like to further reduce the temperature.

I would suggest the following:

-Change the Offset voltage from -80 to -90mV

-Then run the benchmark again

-If your System is stable (that means, it doesn't crash), you can further decrease the offset, then from -90mV to -100mV and so on

-Do that as Long as you don't crash

Please note: Don't worry if your Laptop crashes (blue screen). Nothing happens to your Laptop if this is the case, as the System just shuts down and reboots, no damage whatsoever. If your Laptop crashes, it means that your voltage Offset is too extreme. In this case, just go back by 10mV and see if doesn't crash anymore.

Usually, most modern CPUs are able to handle an Offset up to -140mV. Anything beyond that will probably crash your System. You have to test in order to find out your optimal Level.

Ok, thanks very much!

i have a question, there are four circles at left top corner, and the second is game. What happens when i undervolt it??

HP Recommended

Those are profiles where you can save and load your settings.

When you adjust your undervolt, at the left top corner you can see on which profile you are actually saving the changes on.

Now, at the Throttlestop menu, when you click on the specific profile, it will "load" your Adjustments or in my case, the -80mV Offset that I configured.

Also, don't be confused by the profile names. They are pretty much random and you can change the names under "Options". In my screenshot below, I changed the names to "Profile Name 1" and so on.
