Product: Omen 15
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have 2 questions before possibly buying an omen 15 laptop.

1. Why is 4k available with a gtx 1650 and not 1660 ti as the latter is more capable at handling 4k?

 

2. What are the input lag and response times for the 1080p 60hz and 4k 60hz screens? I had one with 1080p and it was good but I have had a spectre 4k with bad response time and a dell g7 with bad input lag. I dont want to mess with returns or exchange if the 4k screen is not good for gaming

Hi,

The 1080p screen is recommended for gaming. There are more modern Omen notebooks with the RTX 2070 or even RTX 2080 GPU.

I was wanting the 4k screen for media but I could set it to 1080p for gaming. I wont spend extra for high end gpu in laptop as I have one for desktop. If I got a 4k screen and there was lag or ghosting I would end up returning
