My new Omen 15-dc1990nd with a nvidia geforce gtx 1070 max-q GPU cant play any games. It keeps getting low fps eventho everything is set to perfomance in the Nvidia settings. I cant do anything on it besides browsing the internet. It can't even handle a mobile game (like Pubg mobile) This is the seccond one i bought that has issues within a 6 month time frame.

Hello @eMPee046
Im not sure whats happening.
Does it matter if its plugged in or on battery only?
What Nvidia driver is installed, the HP driver, did Windows update it, or did you get it direct from Nvidia?
The argument Ive seen with regard to MaxQ is that you need to use the laptop mfg's driver, not the ones direct from Nvidia.
Otherwise you could have serious performance issues.
Your driver should be this one (currently as I write this)... https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/omen-by-hp-15-dc1000-laptop-pc-series/261...
If you have a direct Nvidia driver, I would clean uninstall it with Display Driver Uninstaller, then reinstall the HP version and see if it makes any difference. If not, I would contact HP Support directly and discuss it further.
