Omen 15t (Nvidia RTX 2070)?

Hey everyone!

I am looking to purchase the new RTX 2070 but before I do I wanted to know if it’s the Max-Q or the Regular 2070. I’ve had conflicting answers. Some HP sales associates say it is the reugular (non MaxQ) but then the reviews state it IS the Max-Q. Also when customizing it doesn’t mention anything about being max-q but on the product description page (about all omen laptops ) it says “up to Nvidia RTX 2070 Max-Q”.

So I’m hoping someone can shed some light on this and help me get to the bottom of it!

@Alex_Christen , welcome to the forum.

I read all of the information that you mentioned and have come to the conclusion that the model in question comes with the RTX 2070; not the Max-Q.  It would be too important not to mention in the advertisements.  In fact, I read an ad for another 15t that had a GTX 1070 that showed it was a Max-Q design.

YES it is definitely the max q I  just received mine the only place i was able to find out if it was or not was in my nvidia control panel.

@Mrhinc  could you please post the exact PRODUCT number of you system?

You can find it in the HP Support Assistant, or spam the F1 key at power-on for the info menu.

Could you also post a pic of the NVIDIA Control panel that shows it is Max-q? I want to present this to HP.

We have been at wits end with HP on the poor inaccurate documentation of their specs sheets lately.

They did not post the Max q info with the manuals this time around.
