OMEN 17-cb0005na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After completing BIOS update, both red and green keyboard backlights working fine but blue light is very dim - this means all whites look like a pale yellow, cyan looks green and so on with all colours containing some blue looking wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi@Porgem, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The below link contains a self-help document for the Keyboard setting for the OMEN  keyboard.

This seems to be a document detailing how to change the colour and work with the different options available. If you read my post, that is not the issue I am experiencing. When I set my keyboard to white (RGB FFFFFF), it shows as a slightly greyish yellow. When I set the keyboard to full brightness blue (RGB 0000FF) it appears very dim. I can tell you that the issue is with the blue LEDs under the keys not displaying at full brightness. It is unlikely to be a physical issue as the brightness across all the LEDs is the same, and dim. This has only been an issue since I completed a recommended BIOS update, around 5-7 days  ago.

@Porgem,

We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
