Omen 17-W102NL
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm having a situation with the battery of my notebook omen w102nl. Apparently when the cable is unplugged, and running battery mode,  sometimes decides just to shut down without warning, and this happens even at high levels of charge (like 70-75%).

I know I should replace the battery but I couldn't find any video or tutorial on how to do it.

The laptop is 2 years old, and I'm using it almost everyday since then, for video editing and sometimes gaming.

I've already tried to change the battey saving settings in the control panel, nothing worked.

Hello @Lex92

Ya, Ive not found any videos specific to that older series either.

Here is the link to the Manual, pages 35-36 explain briefly how to access it.

The main pita with that case is the delicate plastic clips that form around the seam. You have gently pry it apart by using a spudger tool and plastic credit cards to pry it open after you remove all the screws.

Spudger meaning a small tool that can pry into that seam and separate it.

Example...

pittsburgh carving set.jpg

Then you can detach the battery cable and remove the battery.
