Hello all,
I have an Omen 17-cb0080nr and would like to upgrade the RAM. Has anyone successfully upgraded a 17-cb0080nr to 32gb or 64gb of ram?
If so what were the specs on that ram?
I ran the crucial ram app but get the "Well this is embarrassing" message.
I have tried the Hyper X HY426S15IB2K2/32
If I put them both in the laptop loops to blue screens
One stick at a time will boot (Both work)
System is an Omen 17-cb0080nr / Intel I7-9750H / Nvidia RTX 2070 / 16gb DDR266 RAM / 512NVMe / 1TB SSD / with 330 watt power supply
Thanks in advance,
Pappy

First - Thanks Paul!
I am grateful and very pleased with this info
Probably going with the 32gb Ballistix kit from that list
You have made Pappy - Happy!
Again, Thanks Paul
Sincerely,
Pappy

Paul,
The RAM arrived today, I installed it and it worked great.
I play Lord of the Rings Online so that was the final test and I played for about 2 hours. The Omen performed flawlessly!
Thanks again,
Pappy

Does the BLS2K16G4S26BFSD run @2666MHz?
My Omen 17 does not use the XMP profiles and the BLS2K16G4S26BFSD does not have a 2666MHZ JEDEC profile. User reviews on Amazon are stating it only runs @2400Hmz without XMP.

Colin,
cpu-z confirms what you have stated
It's running at
2400-16-16-16-2T
Not sure how that equates to 2666-18-18-18-T2 or 2666-19-19-19-T2
Or 2666-19-19-21-T2
I do feel HP should give us more control in the OMEN's BIOS.
Sincerely,
Pappy
