Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have uninstalled Microsoft AC Adapter as well as Microsoft Surface ACPI-Compliant Method Battery. I have updated all of my drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled them. and yet when I reboot, my laptop still has a charging problem. It says 4 hours until fully charged at 50%, then 20 minutes later it's at 75% and it says 20 minutes until fully charged. Anytime I start up a game my laptop stops charging. I have tried 2 separate AC adapters, neither have fixed this issue, I have also switched from my power strip to my wall outlet to no avail. I have searched the web for this exact problem, and every fix that works for other people has not helped me. I've had this issue for a very long time, and I also went to a best buy to check both the battery and the ac adapter, and both passed the tests fine. Yet this problem arises anytime I load up a game. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Battery tests can only find certain types of issues, they cannot detect all errors.

That model Omen w053dx is about 4 years old now. I'll bet it doesn't last near as long as it did new, right? If its the original battery, its long in the tooth and served its time. Best I can offer is that it really should be replaced. 

 

HP does not sell those batteries. You would have to hunt for a 3rd party battery online.
