Recently I've started having a lot of memory issues with my Omen 17. When I open Task Manager, I can see that the LightStudio background process is consuming more and more memory. I can kill the program and fix the issue, but it keeps returning and crashing my games. I've tried reinstalling both it and the Omen Gaming Hub but it hasn't solved the issue. I could simply not use the program, but without it my keyboard is stuck with the default three colors.
Any suggestions would be fantastic, thank you.

Hi Raj,
My product number is: 509U9AV
I don't think I need a RAM upgrade. I have 32 GBs, which should be more than enough. The issue is the LightStudio background process using far too much memory. More than games or other intense software. Most of the time it stays at a reasonable level, but occasionally it will spike and spike until it maxes out my RAM.
My running theory is that something in the LightStudio process is allocating memory but not releasing it back. Then allocating more and more and more until it runs out of memory to allocate. I'm not an expert, but I can't think of another reason why this process would be suddenly using thousands of megabytes of RAM.
I appreciate the response!

Hi @GiffyTheGif
Thank you for your post
If LightStudio is consuming an unusually high amount of memory, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check for Updates: Make sure you’re using the latest version of LightStudio. Developers often release updates that address performance issues and memory leaks.
Restart the Application: Sometimes, simply restarting the application can free up memory.
Monitor Plugins: If you have any plugins or extensions installed, they might be causing the high memory usage. Try disabling them to see if it improves performance.
Reduce Project Complexity: If you’re working with particularly large projects, consider simplifying your scenes or reducing asset sizes to see if that helps.
System Resources: Check other running applications. Sometimes, memory issues arise from overall system strain rather than just one application.
Clear Cache: If LightStudio has a cache or temporary files, clearing them may help reduce memory usage.
Reinstall the Software: If the issue persists, try reinstalling LightStudio to reset any corrupted files or settings
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
