Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ok, during a keyboard replacement,  computer shop fried the screen.

Has anyone tried to upgrade the screen from the 120Hz auo119d or auo149d to a faster 144hz one, with a better response time, specifically the B173HAN03.2 ? I did notice that most 144hz monitors have a right side connector instead of a left, so I think the choices would be few, without changing the hinge cable. This one is left side 40 pin, same screw pattern.

Any ideas on the possibility of this?

As an update to this, I replaced the screen with a 144hz one off of ebay (new), and it works perfectly. Whereas my old screen had a 36ms response time at 1920*1080 120HZ, the new 144Hz screen has a 13ms response time at the same resolution.

If you are going to do this, just make sure the pin number us the same and in the same location on the new screen, and that it has the same screw pattern. Hope yours turns out as well as mine has!

For anyone with an Omen X 17", here is the screen I used:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/223523857836?ul_noapp=true

If you cant see that, screen is

17.3" FHD LCD Screen IPS Display Panel B173HAN03.1 B173HAN03.2 144Hz 72% NTSC

Good luck!
