OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx

Hi, I recently bought this laptop and I can not use the Omen command Center to changes the keys color or do overlocking.

When I open the app there is only the "Game Stream" option available. The laptop came with no OS and I installed Windows 10 on the SSD. I Do not know what to do. I tryed everything, I don not know why but I also do not have HP recovery partition or options, when I press F11 to lunch the recovery mode itruns directly Windows.

Please help me, is a good computer I would not like to give back it.

Thank you

What is the full product number or model number of your Omen please?

Is it fully updated from Windows updates?

Did you use the latest download from Microsoft for the Command Center?

is the OMEN by HP laptop 15-dc0000ns, yes all is updated and also all drivers are installed.

did you install this software also... OMEN Command Center SDK Package sp88567.exe

And did you use this version of the OCC... Get OMEN Command Center - Microsoft Store

And you have Bios version F.07 ?

HP Recommended

Yes, I already had installed the SDK package, I got the OMEN command Center from the Microsoft Store and my Bios is the F.07

But still apearing only the Game Streaming option.

There are a couple more things to try...

Make sure the HP Omen HSA is enabled in Services... Running and on Automatic.

Look to see if the apps folder is located on the secondary drive. The Omen Command Center needs to be installed to the C drive, not D.

Capture.PNGAll looks right, I do not know what could happen, because before reinstalling the OS it was working.

Capture.PNGDo you know anything about that recovery tools?

Did you look to see if the OCC was still installed to the C drive like I mentioned?

If not, move it to C.

If its on C, then simply uninstall and reinstall it. I am told by HP that the work around is to do this several times until it is working again. They told me it might take 3 or 4 reinstalls of the OCC.

If you did not make the HP Recovery USB Media and cannot make it now, you can order it. But if the links show unavailable, contact HP Support directly and order through them.

Of you could try reinstalling from the Microsoft Media tool also.

I reinstalled the OCC more than 20 times trying diferent slutions and nothing.

I have a friend bought the same system as mine and similar experience with the same problem.

I think the problem could be when we install the OS on the SSD instead of the normal HDD.

On the HP technical service tell me that the problem is with microsoft because HP do not send the system with OS.

I think is a huge fail on a expensive laptop (1200€). I think is not too dificult to create a software to control the keyboard lights.

Very disapointed.

Im sorry to hear of all that. All I can do is point you to HP Customer Service.

I have an Omen and the OCC is installed to the SSD and I have no problems.

You might have to try calling them back and see if they will send you the USB recovery. Perhaps that will be what is needed.

IF I hear of another solution, I will let you know.
