Hi @Madara26,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see the error message clearly in your screenshot: “Administrator Privilege Required – This feature requires Administrator privilege and cannot be used by the current user account. Please log in to Windows with an Administrator account to continue using this feature.”

Even though you’re already an admin and tried “Run as Administrator,” OMEN Gaming Hub getting stuck usually happens after a Windows update or HP update because of corrupted permissions or missing services.

Fix OMEN Gaming Hub Admin Privilege Issue

1. Repair OMEN Gaming Hub

  • Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Find OMEN Gaming Hub, click Advanced Options.
  • Select Repair (and if that doesn’t work, try Reset).

2. Check OMEN Gaming Hub Services

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc.
  • Look for OMEN Gaming Hub Service and OMEN SDK Service.
  • Make sure both are running and Startup Type = Automatic.
  • If stopped, right-click → Start.

3. Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub

4. Check Windows Account Control

  • Go to Settings > Accounts > Your Info.
  • Ensure your account says Administrator.
  • If it’s a Microsoft account, sign out and back in after reinstall.

5. Run with Elevated Privileges

  • Right-click OMEN Gaming Hub → Properties > Compatibility.
  • Check. Run this program as an administrator.
  • Apply and restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Thanks for your response although i have already tried repairing it and uninstalling and reinstalling it from official HP site but one thing i couldn't find is the omen gaming hub nor omen gaming sdk package  in services.msc

Hi @Madara26,

Thank you for clarifying! If you couldn’t find OMEN Gaming Hub or OMEN SDK in services.msc, that’s expected because these components don’t run as traditional Windows services; they operate as apps and background processes, not registered services.

Here’s what you can do:

Where OMEN Gaming Hub Lives

  • It’s installed as a Microsoft Store app or via HP’s installer.
  • To check:
    • Press Win + S, type OMEN Gaming Hub.
    • If it appears, you can open it and adjust performance settings.
    • If not installed, download it here:
OMEN Gaming Hub – Microsoft Store

OMEN SDK Package

  • The SDK is bundled with OMEN Gaming Hub for advanced features (lighting, performance tuning).
  • It doesn’t show in services.msc because it runs as a background task.
  • You can confirm by checking the Task Manager → Details tab for processes like:
    • OMENCommandCenter.exe
    • OMENSDK.exe

If You Want to Disable It

  • Open OMEN Gaming Hub → Settings → Startup → Turn off auto-launch.
  • Or go to Task Manager → Startup tab → Disable OMEN Gaming Hub.

Take care and have an amazing day!
