Thanks for the info but atm I have no power in battery and the laptop doesn’t run on the power adapter so I can start the laptop to do anything

So is there anyway I can charge the battery or run the laptop off the power supply I have tried 2 new batteries so far I can’t afford another even though that seems the only way to update the settings as described

@Timmydee

Any laptop should run on just the AC.

No battery is needed to boot and run a laptop as long as your AC adaptor is good and the system board is not bricked.

Does the laptop boot without any battery installed???
