You can read my previous post. I've previously marked as a solution the support's suggestion about upgrading omen gaming hub SDK. It was a total failure, it didn't change anything.

So:

I’m necroposting after almost 3 months because I’ve had enough of HP, and I’m saying this as politely as I can. I will never buy another HP product again.

I sent my PC in for repairs because a fan randomly died for no apparent reason: never brought my pc anywhere, the fan just died. When I got it back after 2 weeks, I started using it again with a clean HP installation, but the automatic standby issue persists. It just randomly goes standby after a random number of hours: they can be 2 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, 1 hour. If it idles, It will go in S0 mode at some point, leaving me only with the blinking light on my power button, losing my uploads and losing my opportunity to connect via remote desktop.

I’m also losing my mind at this point. I genuinely expect a response to my issue now. I’ve attached a link containing the logs from the Event Viewer that capture what happens when the machine goes into standby.

I’ve tried disabling standby in every possible way. I even downloaded "Awake" from Windows 11 PowerToys, tried every solution I could find, and even upgraded to Windows 11 Professional just to tweak group policies to prevent standby by all means. Nothing has worked. The machine stubbornly continues going into Modern Standby (S0).

I can’t take it anymore. I’m genuinely asking for help because this problem has become overwhelming. I feel scammed and exhausted after almost 7 months I’ve wasted trying to make this machine work.

I finally managed to solve my issue, and I wanted to share my experience here in case it helps someone else. Here's what happened:

1) I did a clean install of Windows 11
2) PC was WAY faster and responsive with a clean image but the sleep problem was still there
3) After lot of tries and dead ends (as Always), i decided to upgrade with Windows Update to the latest version of Windows 11 from the Preview Channel (Windows 11 24H2).
3) What was probably the real problem solver: I've updated the Intel chipset drivers using an open-source application called Snappy Driver.

After 11-12 days of testing my machine, I can guarantee: The problem is completely solved.

After six long months of struggling with an issue that absolutely shouldn't exist on a computer costing nearly €3000, I’ve finally fixed it. I owe this resolution to ChatGPT 😂. After explaining my problem, all my failed attempts and providing all the technical details about my machine, the AI suggested updating the Intel chipset drivers.

The issue where the PC would randomly go into sleep mode after an indefinite number of hours is now completely gone.

I've attached two screenshots showing all the Intel chipset components I updated with Snappy Driver. For those concerned: I can assure you that the system temperatures remain stable and unchanged, the fans work regularly without speeding up or slowing down randomly.

Now, the only question left is whether the solution was upgrading to the latest Beta channel version of Windows 11 or updating the Intel chipset drivers. In my honest opinion, it was updating the chipset drivers that made the difference. Here's why: every time I ran the Sleep Study command on Windows 11, the report always flagged various Intel chipset driver components in red. This happened repeatedly over the past 4-5 days before finding this solution, which led me to suspect that the chipsed drivers were the root cause.

After consulting with ChatGPT and noticing this pattern in the Sleep Study report, I decided to update the Intel chipset drivers using Snappy Driver, a safe malware-free application I’ve been using for years, especially for desktop PCs.

In conclusion: updating the Intel chipset drivers fixed the problem, and the PC is now working perfectly.

Final Recap and reccomendations:

I suggest formatting your PC and reinstalling Windows 11 using a clean image directly from the official Microsoft website or from another trusted source. In my experience, the pre-installed Windows 11 image provided by HP tends to underutilize the CPU, leading to significant slowdowns and lags, especially when launching and using programs.

Remember also to install Omen Gaming Hub and Omen Gaming Hub SDK after the re-install.

By starting fresh with a clean Windows 11 installation, then downloading all the necessary updates and drivers AND updating the Intel chipset drivers to the latest version using Snappy Driver, you can use your OMEN PC without a single problem.

This approach not only solves the sleep problem but also allows the PC to fully leverage its powerful hardware without any performance bottlenecks, also with very low temperatures.

I hope this post helps anyone facing a similar issue.

UP UP UP.
Still Laptop going to sleep in S0 in a complete random way.
Still think this is a BIOS issue or a Omen Gaming Hub Issue.
I've uploaded on SwissTransfer another log showing when the PC goes in automatic sleep mode: https://www.swisstransfer.com/d/ca5ff47f-1c97-4ca4-8197-8761f016c0e8

Can someone please at least try to answer? 😅
