We have a Victus 15 (15-fb-1013dx) that will not power on.

It started with the battery draining and the LED for the power not coming on

Once I could get the LED to power on (orange) I let it sit for several hours (4+)

After that I tried to power it on, it would power up and then shut down

I tried without the battery and I got 3 white flashes from the power charging port LED; it hasn't powered on since.  The LED will not even come on

I've swapped power adapters
I've checked the voltage from the adapter, 19.5v

I've checked the voltage at the board where the power port plugs in, 19.5v

The battery doesn't seem to be getting any power but I don't know what controls that

the 3 LED flashes mean something, but online I'm finding different options

Please help me troubleshoot this

Hi @aennis59,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Victus 15 laptop. The three flashing LED lights can indicate a hardware issue with your device.

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to try and resolve the issue:

Reset the Power: Disconnect all peripherals from your laptop, disconnect the power cable, and remove the battery if possible. Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds. Then, reconnect the power cable (leave the battery out for now) and try to power it on.

Check the LED Flash Codes: The pattern of the LED flashes can indicate specific hardware failures. Three flashes might suggest a memory issue. You may want to reseat the RAM by removing and reinserting it securely into the slot.

Inspect the Charging Adapter and Port: Ensure the charging adapter and port are working correctly. Try using another compatible charging adapter if possible to rule out a faulty charger.

Test with Only AC Adapter: Remove the battery and try to start the laptop using only the AC adapter. This can help determine if the battery is causing the failure.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
