Hello, I would like to overclock my Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 ti for my HP Omen Laptop. I contacted MSI because I am trying to do it with MSI Afterburner and their technical support said they would not help me because I do not have an MSI product. I then contacted Nvidia's technical support and they said they do not recommend overclocking graphics cards. They told me to contact MSI or HP. So HP is my last resort. My pc also has an Intel i7-7700hq 7th gen processor and 32GB of ram which I upgraded to from the original 12GB. I purchased the pc from Walmart's website in 2019 but I think the pc is technically from 2017. So it is definitely no longer under warranty. Like I said, I am looking to overclock my graphics card and I am trying to do it with MSI Afterburner. Even after trying it with the two different versions of MSI Afterburner which are the most recent version and the most recent beta version, I am still getting an issue. And the issue is the core voltage, power limit and temp limit sliders are grayed out and you cannot move them. Even after following the directions from MSI Afterburner, I still get this issue. I read that the best overclocking software is MSI Afterburner. I'm not sure though if I should try a different overclocking software or still be able to use MSI Afterburner.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
I have used MSI Afterburner in the past, but since I have switched over to Asus Tweak III, which you can download here: GPU Tweak III | Ultimate GPU Tuning Tool | ASUS.
This freeware OC software is vastly superior to MSI Afterburner.
Watch this easy-to-follow YouTube instruction video: How to overclock & undervolt your graphics card with GPU Tweak III.
