Has anyone ever overclocked a laptop with a i-5 8300h and gtx 1050ti and is that a good cpu and gpu

No, you won't be able to overclock the processor, but you can try MSI Afterburner to see if you can overclock the 1050 Ti. You should watch the temperatures very closely. Laptops are not good at cooling when pushed over their limits.

@Baleb, to be honest, I have never OC'd any of my laptops. It is simply not a good practice. As I stated, laptops are difficult to cool without exceeding their limits. I stick to my Custom Build in my Signature for OC'ing.
