OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-n0000 (5B1T7AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Product Details:
Name: HP Omen 16
CPU: Ryzen 7 6800H
GPU: RX 6650M

RAM: 16GB DDR5 4800Mhz

Let me get straight to the point, as the title suggests the laptop overheats by a lot. Right after i boot up the temps are at 70 Celsius in idle and if in case I boot up a application or something it skyrockets to 100 Celsius instantly. High temps alone ain't a problem, when it reaches the 100 Celsius mark it starts throttling a lot halving performance. The core clocks of the system goes from 4.5Ghz to 2.9Ghz when it starts to throttle which severely impacts performance for me.

Any help would be appreciated!!

To keep the CPU from overheating, using %99 instead of %100.

This will prevent the CPU from entering turbo mode.

To mitigate the heat problem you should use a laptop cooler.

Make sure the battery is fully charged before starting a game.
