OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Windows got uninstalled from my system when I was trying to go into the Advanced Startup Options menu and I had to reinstall it via USB with the media creation tool and  it only showed the Intel Optane Storage that I could install windows in and then now it says I have only 26.6 GB as my storage and it doesn't recognize the 512 SSD part anymore. Does anyone know how I can fiz this i've been trying for 2 months now. I noticed that I installed it with the intel optane part and I tried to install the drivers while in the windows installation but it still can't find the SSD part.

@EP91

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I recommend you perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

Ensure Legacy Support, under Boot Options, is DISABLED

NOTE: If legacy boot support is enabled,

  1. Start or restart the computer.
  2. Press F10 repeatedly during startup to enter the BIOS configuration utility.
  3. Check Legacy Support and disable if it is enabled:
    Security > Secure Boot Configuration > Press F10 to accept when prompted > Legacy Support
    or
    Boot Options > Legacy Support
  4. If Legacy Support is ENABLED, change it to DISABLED, save changes and exit.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi, I had the same issue and thought all hope was lost. There is a YouTube video called "

SSD Not Showing Up While Windows 10 Installation (11th gen Laptop) (Hindi)"

I'll try my best to explain:

ROOT CAUSE: Windows 10 installer doesn't have drivers for Intel Rapid Storage Technology. 1) You have to download drivers from the manufacturer's site 2) Extract drivers to the USB with Windows 10 installer 3) Upon loading of the installer from USB key, select Load Drivers & point to the relevant folder when you previously extracted them 4) Click NEXT & after the process is complete, you will see your drive detected by the installed with all its partitions.
