Hi, recently noticed some dead pixels in my laptop's screen, and had seen a video where the guy mentions that we can upgrade the panel while replacing it.
Is it possible?
When is it recommended to actually replace it?
It currently has around 10 or so dead pixels.

@POSEID0N1, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Dead pixels are a common issue and can be bothersome, especially if they are numerous and hinder the viewing experience. You can determine if the screen needs replacement and possible upgrades during the replacement process.
It's recommended to replace the screen when you observe multiple dead pixels. As a general guideline, if you have around 10 or so dead pixels, it might be best to consider replacement. Here are a few symptoms and circumstances when replacement is necessary:
- Blocking view: If dead pixels are obstructing your view or causing significant distraction.
- Spread and increase: If the number of dead pixels increases over time.
- Aesthetic and usability: If the dead pixels affect the aesthetics and usability of your device significantly.
