Hello, I am trying to update the bios from version 5 to 8 but I can't do it. Opening .exe file make the pc restart and then I get "Unable to open bios image file".

I tried also with the 2nd option but the usb storage is not detected in the uefi bios.

What should I do?  Thanks

I finallty got the usb storage detected in the uefi bios. Now the problem is that the bin file is named with 08466.bin but my system board ID is 8469. They should be the same, am I wrong?

EDIT:

I didn't try to update via usb as systemboard id and the name of the bin bios file were not the same.

I tried another time to use the 1st option to update the bios (the one that gave me the error "Unable to open bios image file") and this time worked just fine.

As I used the same .exe file that gave me 8466 system board ID, I assume that I could update the bios even if 8466.bin and my system board (8469) differs.

You guys from HP should work in a much more precise way.
