OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT15-2000i (88Y99AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Every time I go to a website  like say Amazon, the site doesn't recognise my pc and I have to go through a security check to get on to their sites.

This Omen desk top has caused a lot of problems  in the 2 years since I bought it, I've had to reset it 4 times back to factory settings due to it's faults! Never going to buy another HP.

Hi  @Johnr650

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand you've been encountering repeated security verification checks when visiting websites such as Amazon, and I can certainly see how inconvenient that would be. I'd be happy to help look into this with you.

To better understand the situation, could you kindly share the following details?

  • Which web browser(s) you're using (Microsoft Edge, Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
  • Does this happen on all websites or only specific sites?
  • Have you noticed if the issue occurs on other devices connected to the same network?
  • Are there any error messages displayed during the security verification process?

In the meantime, kindly try the following steps:

  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
  2. Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version.
  3. Temporarily disable any browser extensions, especially security, privacy, or ad-blocking extensions, and test again.
  4. Run Windows Update and install all available updates.
  5. Perform a network reset:
    • Open Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced Network Settings > Network Reset
    • Restart the PC after the reset completes.
  6. Try accessing the affected websites using a different browser to determine if the issue is browser-specific.
  7. Check the system date, time, and time zone settings and ensure they are correct.
  8. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics a system test - Quick test  ( Click here for steps ) to verify there are no underlying hardware-related concerns.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.

It only happens with Amazon and E Bay,
