Hello,
I have an HP OMEN 15 2020 with the below specs
CPU: i7 10750H
GPU: 1660TI
RAM: 16GB
OS: Windows 11
Laptop IDLE Temps: CPU: 45c , GPU: 41c , CPU utilization : 4%
Issue: The issue is simple but the solution isn't , when I play games that require a lot of power from my laptop / power brick the laptop crashes and I get errors such as : D3D device hung, DirectX device stopped working .
Games that I have issues with: CS:GO, Apex Legends, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Mafia Definitive Edition, Rust , Battlefield Games, Escape from tarkov.
This games are very heavy to run and while they run amazingly on a laptop I can't run them for a long time because they will eventually crash due to device hung error or that my GPU has stopped working .
Things that I have tried :
- Using Perfromance Mode : Balanced in OMEN Gaming Hub
- Downgrading my graphics card drivers to the ones provided by HP
- Undervolting my CPU (It doesn't seem to work for my laptop)
- Changing OS from Windows 10 to 11
- Upading my GPU drivers
- Changing my power settings to maximu performance
Any solution or hints into resolving the issue would be appreciated as this is the first time I game on an laptop and the experience was very good so far besides the issue stated above.
Any extra info about laptop or settings can be provided.
