HP OMEN 15 2020
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have an HP OMEN 15 2020 with the below specs

CPU: i7 10750H

GPU: 1660TI

RAM: 16GB

OS: Windows 11

Laptop IDLE Temps:  CPU: 45c , GPU: 41c , CPU utilization : 4%

Issue: The issue is simple but the solution isn't , when I play games that require a lot of power from my laptop / power brick the laptop crashes and I get errors such as : D3D device hung, DirectX device stopped working .

Games that I have issues with: CS:GO, Apex Legends, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Mafia Definitive Edition, Rust , Battlefield Games, Escape from tarkov.

This games are very heavy to run and while they run amazingly on a laptop I can't run them for a long time because they will eventually crash due to device hung error or that my GPU has stopped working .

Things that I have tried :

  1. Using Perfromance Mode : Balanced in OMEN Gaming Hub
  2. Downgrading my graphics card drivers to the ones provided by HP
  3. Undervolting my CPU (It doesn't seem to work for my laptop)
  4. Changing OS from Windows 10 to 11
  5. Upading my GPU drivers
  6. Changing my power settings to maximu performance

Any solution or hints into resolving the issue would be appreciated as this is the first time I game on an laptop and the experience was very good so far besides the issue stated above.

Any extra info about laptop or settings can be provided.
