These past few days i've been playing games while charging then i realised my laptop was plugged in but not charging! I was so confused and i tried to search the solutions online and it said can be due to adapter or the battery itself. But when i scan using the Hp diagnostic it said the battery is fine and i just bought this laptop a few weeks ago. PLease help meee! Is it normal to play games while charging and for the battery indicator to appear like that ??

@multispandom , welcome to the forum.
It is definitely fine to play games with the charger plugged in. I suggest that you run HP Support Assistant to assure that your software and drivers are up to date. Once this is done, restart the computer and try the charger to see if that helped.

I've tried it and it says nothing wrong with my battery and I even called the HP hotline and they guide me through the updates. But then, it happended again. I played Sims 4 and at 19% it said "plugged in, not charging". But then when i exit from my Sims 4, after 5 to 6 mins it when back to "plugged in, charging". Is it because of the game?

ok i am so confused that nobody knows why that happens
while gaming you can't charge your battery on all gaming laptops it's not a mistake or a problem it's normal i have a lenovo y530 laptop it's a gaming laptop and it doesn't charge while gaming
the reason no gaming laptop charge while gaming is that you may play games for like 5 hours so if you charge your laptop for 5 hours straight it will get damaged so the creators made a move which was a gaming laptop that acts like a pc
the pc doesn't have a battery so you're basically plugin it 24/7 and nothing will happen that's what the creators did with the gaming laptops so that the batteries doesn't go low or gets damaged easlly
plus you can't play games with a maximum performence without charging so it is a clever move and nothing is wrong with your laptop don't get affraid it's something normal on all gaming laptops and if you want to charge it then charge it over night or while you are working cuz charging while gaming won't work
