My power cord no longer stays plugged into my gaming laptop. It is constantly disconnecting and falling to the floor. What is recommended to remedy this situation?

Welcome to the HP Community --
What you do depends on the type of solution wanted and your skill level.
For example,
If the power connection no longer secures the cord end connector to the computer, replace the power connector inside the case.
Open
The power connector is first mentioned on Page 5, Item #4 - Part Number: L56877-001
If the connector is loose or damaged and you wan to replace the part,
Go to Page 47 to read about the replacement procedure.
This is a mid-level skill procedure.

You are welcome.
Yeah, I get the whole "better eyes and hands" thing. Smiling.
If you live where you can find a computer tech -- or a college student of the craft -- take your computer in and ask about what it would take to fix the issue. It might not be expensive and would "save the day" as it were. Be sure you back up your personal data before you trapse off with computer in hand -- Best not to be the one who says, "Well, I didn't think I needed backups."
I'd suggest replacing the cord -- these don't usually wear out at the connector ends so it seems less likely to help.
Good Luck.
