Hello @Rk9526

I don't think Windows update had anything to do with the battery failing. Your system is approximately 31/2 years old. Its not uncommon for batteries to reach their end of life at this time. Will the laptop run if you remove the battery and only use the AC cord? That will be fine to run it this way until you decide to replace the battery.

Battery info... 4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery Part Number: 800049-001

It is working fine when plugged in but the issue arise when I use it in normal mode, it works for 15 mins and then shuts down despite having more than 50% charge it will only on when I plug in the ac.

But if you run it without the battery and plugged in to the AC cord, its ok correct?

A bad battery can display this behavior even though it may show it has plenty of charge left. it needs to be replaced.

Ok sir, I last silly doubt, should I contact hp service centre for battery replacement or can I replace the battery myself after buying one from amazon?

Your model is HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab219tx

Unless you still have a warranty (which I doubt), you will have to replace it yourself.

Its removable and can easily be done.
