It helps to give the full model number or Product number (preferred). It can be found in the HP Support Assistant.
You might have a failed battery, or it might only need to be calibrated.
IF you are still under warranty, you can contact HP Support directly for a warranty claim.

Click on Test the battery before Windows starts to expand the instructions.
