OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b1000 (603T6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Greetings! If there are any official HP representatives here, please analyze and resolve the issue with my gaming laptops: constant game crashes. I suspect it's the BIOS. It would also be great if gaming laptop users had the extended BIOS version, not the stripped-down version. The constant game crashes are a combination of Nvidia drivers and the Omen firmware. There are a lot of discussions on Reddit about issues with the same version as mine.

Hi @Viktor2596,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing constant game crashes with your HP Omen 16 laptop, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issues:

Update Your BIOS:

  • Keeping your BIOS updated can help fix compatibility issues and improve system stability. You can check and update your BIOS from the Official HP® Support appropriate for your device model.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest Nvidia drivers installed. You can download the latest drivers from the Nvidia official Official HP® Support. It's crucial to keep them updated for optimal performance.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is up-to-date. System updates often include patches and fixes that can help with software compatibility.

Use OMEN Gaming Hub:

  • Make sure the OMEN Gaming Hub software is updated to the latest version. This software can optimize your gaming performance and manage your system settings.

Adjust Game and System Settings:

  • Lower the in-game graphics settings to see if the issue resolves. Additionally, ensure your power settings are set for high performance and adjust any unnecessary applications running in the background.

Reinstall the Game or Application:

  • If the above steps do not work, try reinstalling the game that is causing issues to ensure all files are correctly installed.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Good afternoon! No, the problem hasn't been resolved. Is it possible to roll back my laptop to a previous version?

How can I do this? It won't let me do it, neither via USB nor software.

I created a USB drive. What are my next steps? Where should I put the f22 firmware?
Thank you for helping me solve the problem. I'd like to congratulate the HP support team on the New Year 2026, good luck to you!

I need a rollback-signed BIOS image for version F.22 compatible with HP BIOS Recovery (Win+B). The F.22 SoftPaq image is not accepted by Recovery and results in 'BIOS recovery files cannot be found or are corrupted'. Please provide the Recovery-signed image file for F.22 similar to the one you previously provided for restoring Win+B functionality.

Hi @Viktor2596

Thank you for your response.

Thank you for your warm New Year wishes — they shine like a spark of light in our day. I understand the BIOS recovery issue feels like a locked door that won’t open.

Kindly find the updated BIOS driver version F.23 Rev:

Do let us know how it goes.

Hello,

I have already tested BIOS version F.23 on my HP OMEN 16-b1, and the issue I reported
is present exactly on this version.

Reinstalling or re-flashing BIOS F.23 does NOT resolve the problem.
The issue appeared after updating to F.23 and persists while using this version.

Because of this, installing F.23 again is not a valid troubleshooting step in my case.

I need to downgrade the system to BIOS version F.22, which was working correctly
before the update.

However, the public F.22 SoftPaq from the HP website is rejected by HP BIOS Recovery
(Win + B) due to rollback protection.

Please provide a rollback-signed BIOS image for version F.22 that is compatible
with HP BIOS Recovery (Win + B) for platform 087F (HP OMEN 16-b1),
so I can safely restore the system to a stable state.

Thank you.
